As I was reflecting on all the events of this week a hymn that we used to sing when I was small came to my mind. I imagine its been 35 years since I last sang this song. When I found it on the internet, I was amazed at just how rich the words of each stanza are, especially in light of this past week. God is so good to do things like that.

Thank you for your words and encouragement regarding this song. In the early 70s I was music director of a small church, and occasionally on Wed nite we would take requests for hymns. An elderly couple had moved to the area in north Florida, and requested the song (in the All American Hymnal). No one had heard of it, but we were always open to learn something new. The song really struck me with its message and lilt. It has become my favorite song, along with How Great Thou Art that shows Gods mighty power and how little and limited we are compared to Him. Still, most people dont know it, but now I am the elderly one requesting it. I hope many people search out this great hymn, and gain a sense of how close God really is to those who have accepted Him as their Personal Saviour and turned their lives over to Him. Thanks again.
